In her Baywest home for just shy of a year, stay-at-home mom Melanie has her hands full with two energetic boys under the age of five and a busy contractor husband. However, now that the transition has been made and the family has settled in, things couldn’t be better.
Having grown out of their first home, which was approximately half the size of their new Baywest home -- a “growing family” was the number one reason the Crippins made the move.
Preparing for their house hunt, “must-have” priorities included a generous garage, a bonus room, home office, an open concept with a good-sized foyer, and that all-important ensuite and walk-in closet for the master bedroom.
“We looked around and did our research first,” says Melanie. “We understood that Baywest was a very organized and accommodating builder, and they had a reputation for having a lot of experience and beautiful floorplans.”
After the Crippins evaluated their options, the choice was simple. “We liked the Baywest floorplans the best. And frankly, we trusted them,” states Melanie. “We also liked that they were a smaller builder, with better, more attentive, customer service.”
Finally, the “willingness to customize at a reasonable price” was also a big selling feature for the Crippins, who had interests in planning their space just-so. Afterall, this family home needed to last a nice long time as their boys grew into teens.
